Dear Parent / Guardian:


We are quickly approaching the date of our Renaissance Faire: Friday, May 21st.
Hopefully, your child has been busy at home with finalizing the project on the Renaissance. If possible, please check the following components of the project to assure completion:

--File Folder: appropriately designed and decorated, organized with dividers; notes, drafts of writing, sketches, final typewritten research report, bibliography

--Writing Journal / Notebook: recording of each day’s work and activities, dated

--Speech: organized and prepared

--Completed Artwork: display boards, posters, models

A reminder that the students were given about a month to work on their Renaissance
Projects; they will be earning a letter grade equivalent to an exam grade that will be recorded as credit for Social Studies and Language Arts (English, Reading, Spelling/Vocabulary).

On the day of the Renaissance Faire, the seventh graders will have their final fundraiser. Attached are a few ideas of Renaissance-type of recipes to make; you can also try google-searching other kinds of Renaissance-type of dishes that you are interested in baking to sell at our faire. If you are planning to help the seventh grade by baking goods, please send the items to school with your child that morning. If you are available to help supervise during the faire, the event is from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.; your presence will be most welcomed!
