A reminder that I, Mrs. Owyang-Lee, do NOT accept late assignments with the exception of absences or special circumstances that were discussed between me and the parent at the beginning of this year.
If a student turns in incomplete work sloppily done, the "m" for missing will be recorded. Students should learn responsibility and respect for deadlines, or not? Homework supports and reinforces lessons taught and learned. If homework is not done on the day it was assigned, the learning process is interrupted and the lessons become more confusing for the student.
Nowadays, students are most fortunate with the additional help online. Yes, there are online tutors! The students are definitely well aware of the additional help online! Just refer to the first pages of the textbook for the websites!
Please continue to help support your child's success in education.
I am pleased to announce that Ms. Eva Coverson has helped us plan two field trips to the Asian Art Museum. The first one is scheduled for Tuesday, November 30th: Ancient China--Tombs and Temples; and the second one is scheduled for Thursday, January 27th: Spirit of the Samurai. The guided tour will begin at 9:45 a.m. and end at 11:30 a.m. The field trip permission notices have been sent home.
Thank you Eva!
Are there any suggestions for fundraisers to build the seventh grader's account? We are definitely going to have our traditional Christmas card sale, but should we have one before then? Please let my room parents know: Ms.Eva Coverson or/and Mrs. Marilyn Roque.
See you soon!
Mrs. Owyang-Lee
